The CRC Operations Resources Team is seeking to fill an Artificial Lift / Reliability Engineer position in our Tupman, CA location.

Responsibilities

* Provide field-based assistance to the Operations Team to reduce well failure rate and improve runtime

* Assist well analysts with preparation of pull ticket recommendations

* Provide engineering support for maintenance rig well servicing activity

* Lead and/or participate in periodic well failure and chemical treatment reviews

* Identify/implement new technologies, products and/or processes to improve runtime and reduce intervention costs

* Perform periodic look backs/audits to evaluate effectiveness of maintenance activities and projects and assist with development of best practices or standards for well maintenance activities

* Responsible for performing operational surveillance activities in support of maintaining base production; this includes but is not limited to artificial lift optimization and participating in well performance reviews with field operations and reservoir management team engineers

Required qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related

* Minimum 3 years industry experience

* Understanding of field operations

* Fundamental knowledge in the use of MS Office products

* Ability to prioritize workloads effectively

* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively within a diverse, multi-functional operational work environment

* Demonstrated creative and collaborative approach to problem solving

* Must have a valid driver's license & a clean DMV record

Preferred qualifications:

* Prior well failure analysis and/or well/operational experience

* Thermal production engineering experience
