Job Title: Paint Assistant

Reports To: Paint Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Summary Prepare parts for paint.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Understand and apply work order instruction to prepare parts for paint. Sand, strip or tape off parts to prepare parts for paint. Arrange parts on table or racks.

Ability to move parts through paint process, organize work flow to painter and maintain product traceability.

Ability to wear appropriate PPE. Ability to read and understand work orders. Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time and to organize work flow.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
