Chart's manufacturing group is critical to ensuring our products on time delivery and of the highest quality to our customers. The Material Handler II will work towards our production goals along with peers, Shift Managers, Contractors, Truck Drivers, and the Shipping and Receiving Supervisors through the direction of plant manager.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

* Unload semi-trucks of material and stock holding area climbing two 25" steps onto tractor trailer, bending, crawling, and or walking on material to hook loading straps onto loads.

* Operating overhead crane to restock stations and to unload trailers requires bilateral hands to operate two separate cranes at one time to unload.

* Using pry bar to separate bundles of pipe.

* Walking on uneven, slick surfaces to access materials.

* Walking department throughout shift and restocking materials.

* Lifting and carrying loading straps, "C" hook, and other tools frequently throughout shift.

* Lifting completed fin tube assemblies overhead and placing in rack with bent posture from 37.5" to overhead to floor using 25 lbs of force.

* Cutting tube to length with cut off saw.

* Weighing fin rolls with 36 lb scale from waist to shoulder level from 3-6 times per shift.

* Load and unload trucks.

* Move materials.

* Count, handle and store all parts and materials in proper locations.

* Follow the guidelines of Chart Cooler Service Safety Program.

* Workmanship must meet the Company's quality standards.

* Adhere to all safety guidelines and policies.

* Other duties as assigned.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

* Flexibility; able to switch gears quickly in a fast paced environment

* Satisfactorily complete OSHA Forklift Training Course.

* Ability to multi task

* Ability to work independently without supervision

Your Education Should Be…

* High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

* Using 25" rungs on the back of a tractor trailer to ascend and descend to access loads on an occasional basis.

* Lifting 25 lbs. from 42" to overhead to floor with bent posture on an occasional basis.

* Walking, crawling, stooping, bending, and standing on a constant basis.

* Fine and gross motor ability with bilateral upper extremities to operate two cranes simultaneously on a frequent basis.

* Lifting 36 lb. scale from waist to shoulder on an occasional basis.

* Carrying 20 lb. loading strap throughout shift on a frequent basis.

* Fine and gross motor ability with bilateral upper extremities to use various hand tools, cutters, "C" hook, wrenches, etc.
