Director of Inpatient CD Services

Cascade Behavioral Hospital has an immediate opening for a Director of Inpatient Chemical Dependency Services. This position performs clinical supervision for the Chemical Dependency Professional staff and administers daily operations and activities of the Inpatient Chemical Dependency units. Work involves delivering curriculum, developing treatment plans, and procedures; developing schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving established goals; coordinating and evaluating department activities and monitoring treatment progress. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others. Works under limited supervision, with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Demonstrates age specific competency in order to provide clinical guidance to the department. Maintains good working relationships with community partners in order to facilitate coordinated services. Responsible for providing chemical dependency services to patients within the scope of practice as defined by the state of Washington.


* Must possess strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff, supervisors and managers as well as staff in community organizations.

* Must possess the ability to work alone and be able to accomplish patient goals without direct supervision.

* Ability to understand and address patient and family expectations and provide excellence in care and service consistent with the organization's mission, vision, values and behavioral standards.

* Working knowledge or self-initiative to become knowledgeable of applicable local, state, and federal laws and accreditation standards as applicable to the role.

* Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing, in a way that is understood by patients, family members and others related to the patient care team.


Three (3) to five (5) years experience in Mental Health and Chemical Dependency, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience desired.


* Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other Human Services field.


* Current Washington State CDP licensure in good standing

* Current Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR Certification

* Crisis prevention training on hire and ongoing
