The Research Technician will perform activities in research in entomology and agriculture, including planting, maintenance of research plots, harvesting of cotton, insect sampling, counting and identification of cotton pest and beneficial arthropods, care and maintenance of insect colonies used for research, field testing of pesticides, data entry and proofing, assistance in training students and staff in the operation of equipment and/or performance of technical procedures in the laboratory and field, performance of scientific data collections, reductions and analyses involving routine procedures characterized by moderate use of independent judgment. The Research Technician position is a temporary, less than 20 weeks position located at the Maricopa Agriculture Center to oversee compost study.
