A postdoctoral position is available in the Neuroscience of Emotion and Thought laboratory, directed by Dr. Jessica Andrews-Hanna at the University of Arizona in the Department of Psychology and the Cognitive Science Program. Highly-skilled and motivated researchers with a Ph.D. in psychology, neuroscience, or related discipline are invited to apply. Our research is centered on understanding the mysteries of our inner mental lives – the thoughts, memories, feelings and emotions that make us unique as individuals. We explore these topics across levels of brain and behavior, drawing on techniques including functional MRI, psychophysiology, and mobile experience sampling in daily life. We are seeking an individual with a strong expertise in the intersection between internally-guided cognition and clinical psychology. The ideal applicant should have extensive experience with fMRI data analysis, including proficiency in programming with Matlab, R and Linux. Additionally, applicants should have demonstrated i) intellectual creativity, ii) a strong record of publication, iii) a willingness to collaborate with others, and iv) excellent organizational and communication skills. Salary will depend on years of experience. The position is for 2 years, condition upon satisfactory outcome.
