Sr Mortgage Loan Processor II

A Senior Mortgage Loan Processor provides professional support services to a Mortgage Banker by assembling a completely documented residential mortgage loan file in preparation for submission of the file to the underwriting department, where a decision to grant or deny a mortgage loan application is made. S/he interacts daily with Mortgage Bankers and company staff involved in underwriting and closing. S/he verifies loan documents including disclosures, income, assets, credit, appraisal, and title insurance. S/he ensures all items needed are requested and will order and coordinate loan documents. S/he will communicate an outgoing and friendly professional demeanor with staff and third parties.


* High school diploma or equivalent required

* 3 - 5 Years' experience in function

* 3 - 5 Years' experience in industry

* Knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, HARP & Rural Development

* Proficient in Fannie and Freddie AUS systems

* Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills

* Working knowledge of ordering appraisals, flood certifications, verifications, title work and homeowners insurance

* Working experience in mortgage loan origination systems preferred

* Strong customer service skills


* Review all data on the URLA 1003 application and process Credit Package, Income, Asset, Title and purchase contract documentation to verify accuracy (I.e. paper trail large deposit, LOE, borrower conditions etc.) Update Encompass 1003 to match data received from borrower.

* Perform income calculations for borrowers based off of income docs received, paystubs, W-2's, tax returns and VOE's. Update 1003 with Income, Assets and all other documentation received. Processor to place income calculation worksheet in e-folder.

* Make customer service calls, as needed on 3rd party services and borrower related items.

* Submit complete files to underwriting queue within turn times indicated.

* Gather and process underwriting conditions to submit for CTC (Clear To Close).

* Prepare closing request with closing department.

* Responsible for ordering the following 3rd party verifications/documentation; Credit Supplements, written and verbal VOE's, HOA Certifications, and etc.
