Within Stanley Engineered Fastening's automotive division, an opening is currently available for an Assembler at our facility in Troy, MI.

Basic Purpose and Objective:

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, assemble and visually check all completed equipment, components, and subassemblies. Reporting of any deviation from specified tolerances, values and specifications.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

* Assemble and visually check all components, sub-assemblies and completed units.

* Trouble shoot mechanical functionality concerns

* Accept, complete and record paperwork as follows:

* Report production of work orders

* Report quality issues

* Maintain accurate training documents and work instructions

* Initiate improvement suggestions for better methods of assembling equipment

* Report to Manufacturing Supervisor any deviation from specified tolerances, values, or specifications

* Must be able to work multiple shifts

* Overtime will be required during busy times

* During the week

* Weekends

Education Required:

* High school diploma

* Continued education or equivalent work experience

Experience Required:

* Experience in assembling and fine tuning mechanical devices

* Two (2) to three (3) years related experience, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues

* Experience reading mechanical blueprints & electrical schematics and reporting necessary corrections

* Use of multi meters, calipers and other measurement instruments

* Experience in working well with multiple departments to achieve a desired goal

* Have moderate computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

* Be able to navigate through network files and drives
