Job Title: CT Technologist
Unit: Imaging Department
Shift: Day shift, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:00)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Trinidad, Colorado
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our imaging department. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for medical professionals to use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT procedures as ordered by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort during the process
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures and adjust equipment as necessary to ensure the best images are obtained
- Ensure all necessary images are obtained for diagnosis
- Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient care and imaging results
- Maintain equipment and ensure it is in proper working order
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols, including radiation safety
- Maintain patient records and ensure they are accurate and up-to-date
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest quality patient care
Requirements:
- Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT
- Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
- A minimum of one year of experience as a CT Technologist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions in high-pressure situations
- Willingness to work occasional weekends or evenings as needed
