Research Scientist

Job Summary:

The Oncoveda Cancer Research Center of Genesis Biotechnology Group is looking for a highly motivated individual to work as a Research Scientist. The successful candidate will contribute to the work of a multi-disciplinary community of scientists, supporting the development of novel immuno-oncology therapeutics.

Responsibilities

• Initiate new research programs in immuno-oncology
• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary drug discovery programs
• Manage BS and MS level research associates
• Develop and maintain cell lines and express and purify recombinant proteins
• Develop, validate, and implement biochemical and cell based assays
• Write reports and presentations on research data

Job Requirements

• Ph.D. in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology or related field
• Expertise in innate or adaptive immunology or oncology
• Experience with molecular and cell biology techniques such as PCR, RNA/DNA isolation, protein expression and purification
• Experience with cell line maintenance and tissue culture
• Experience with ligase-independent cloning and/or CRISPR/Cas and transfection for gene expression and gene knockdown in cells
• Experience with flow cytometry
• Ability to effectively work independently with minimal direction
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within project teams
