Regulatory Research Analyst - Regulatory Requirement Guide (RRG)

Overview:

The Regulatory Research Analyst is a member of the Regulatory Requirement Guide (RRG) team which resides within the Regulatory Reporting & Risk Analysis Group. RRG team is responsible for the maintenance of the RRG database which houses regulatory requirements derived from various credit rating agency registrations. In addition, the RRG serves as the repository for various internal control mechanisms and risk assessments of the control structure to promote compliance with applicable laws/rules. This function works closely with all areas of the organization, especially the Rating Division, Rating Operations and Corporate Compliance. The RRG database supports content input/utilization activities across all CRA subsidiaries globally.

Responsibilities:

* Participate in the ongoing maintenance of RRG database content provided by senior staff as part of regulatory risk aggregation activities which feed a broader corporate governance program.

* Participate in the periodic rollout of RRG updates and requests for owner interaction to refresh control content.

* Participate in regulatory research to support the quality and consistency of RRG database content as well as the update of permanent source content driven by changes in existing regulation, new regulation or new CRA registrations captured in the database.

* Complete data mining activities in support of operational decision making.

* Assist in the development/maintenance of RRG policy / procedure and practices.

* Provide regulatory related support, as it pertains to the maintenance/update/development of credit rating policy/procedure, corporate policy/procedure or other regulatory research team activities.

Qualifications:

* 3-5 years of related CRA or risk/compliance experience is preferred.

* Bachelor's degree required, JD or other advanced degree preferred.

Skills:

* Second language skills (Spanish/Portuguese) are a plus, but not required.

* Microsoft Access/MS Excel.

* Excellent time management & communication skills; and project management skills.

* Team player capable of multi-tasking, however can operate independently to complete required tasks.

* Excellent reading comprehension skill with the ability to decipher complex concepts in a legislative format.

* Ability to operate under defined project deadline requirements.
