Bilingual Fleet Manager

PGT Trucking Inc, a national flatbed carrier, has an immediate need for a self motivated, bilingual individual to manager truck activities. The qualifited high energy hands on candidate must speak fluent Spanish with the ability to interact well with customers, drivers, and team members in both English and Spanish. Basic Funtion:

Manages and directs daily activities of Company drivers and driver trainees, assigned to designated territory in accordance with Company policies, procedures and business objectives, while complying with any applicable local, state and federal statutes regulating the trucking industry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Analyzes available loads to prioritize coverage and to determine which loads will contribute to a driver's total revenue earned.

* Secures, organizes and assigns loads to drivers in manner designed to maximize efficiency and quality of performance. Gives appropriate routing directions and scheduling instructions for pick-ups and deliveries, as needed. Advises terminals and customer service of scheduling problems (pick up and delivery).

* Attempts to maintain drivers in profitable and efficient lanes, thereby avoiding deadhead mileage.

* Instructs, guides, supervises, motivates and evaluates drivers and driver trainees regarding the daily performance of their assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable Company policies and procedures. Makes recommendations to management with respect to driver's performance.

* Maintains and reviews total and per driver shipping revenues earned on a daily basis.

* Establishes and maintains productive working relationship with other Company departments and employees, as well as all Company customers.

* Monitors compliance of drivers with all Company policies and procedures, in addition to all local, state and federal statutes, on a regular basis.

* Ensures that computerized shipping records are updated as close to real time as possible.

* Handles any problems drivers may encounter in a prompt and efficient manner, as necessary.

* Ensures that all activity in area of responsibility is conducted in accordance with The Company's safety program and all related procedures and practices. Ensures that all subordinates are trained in appropriate safety procedures.

* Explores, documents and recommends to management new methods and/or systems which when implemented would improve performance in area of responsibility.

* Performs other related duties as required by business necessity or assigned by management.
