We are looking for a Distribution Manager to join our NYX Professional Makeup team in the Consumer Products Division of L'Oréal USA. This role will be responsible for the overall management and performance of Order Fulfillment including Wave Planning, Replenishment, Picking, End of Line and Shipping. In addition, the Manager is accountable for achieving company objectives, productivity standards and cost control goals.

* Operations

Executes Distribution Center operation strategy in areas of Order Fulfilment and Shipping. Manages a team of direct reports but overall responsibility of entire distribution team. Develop and direct all staff to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility. Oversee job assignments and labor schedules. Plan long-range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from management. Develop and administer operating & capital budgets. Manage temp labor spending. Focus on continuous improvement and make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve operations.

* Labor Management

Direct the operations of warehouse staff to achieve prescribed objectives. Develop and maintain a productive work team by creating programs for hiring, training, and professional development. Match the skill and background of personnel to the work required. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, counsel and discipline associates. Implement an appropriate performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases and terminations. Manages team performance, ensures appropriate development and succession planning

* Equipment/Safety

Ensure that procedures are in place for the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment. Direct programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property. Provide safety instruction to personnel as needed. Report all work-related injuries immediately. Provide immediate medical attention to injured employees as necessary. Ensure compliance with appropriate government regulations.

* Information Technology

Ensure the creation of the necessary warehouse information systems to meet company objectives and facilitate the efficient operations of the warehouse. Ensure that necessary warehouse computer software and hardware are provided. Remain knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software technology.

Job Requirements:

* BA/BS degree with Supply Chain preferred

* 10+ years of experience in operations environment with proven ability to manage large teams

* Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook

* A comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations is necessary along with strong Project Management Skills and excellent analytical Skills

* A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation communication, and planning.

* Must be able to give and receive innovative, creative and helpful feedback for team growth and productivity.

* Must be able to interface and communicate effectively within the organization, with business units throughout the company, and with partners across the supply chain. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Must be a strong team player with a firm, personal commitment toward the business and its customers.

* Must be successful in managing effective deployment of resources, systems and personnel to enable achievement of organizational objectives.

* Extensive sourcing, negotiation and human relations skills are required.

Special Requirements:

* Experience in a global organization.

* Obtain L'Oreal forklift certification.

* Preferred: WMS and/or WCS experience

* Preferred: SAP and TMS experience
