Help Desk Representative

Job Summary: Responsible to perform a variety of maintenance, software installation, end-user support and training tasks to ensure end-user workstations and network performance to meet company and user requirements. Provide support to staff on all company-supported applications. Troubleshoot computer problems, determine source and advise on appropriate action. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position:

Provide first line support for any information technology issues and problems.

Provide assistance by phone, email and/or using a ticket management system.

Track issues to resolution.

Track user account creation, changes and deletions.

Perform password resets and re-certify tokens.

Support computers, laptops, tablets, smart phones and applications.

Quickly and accurately determine incident scope and impact.

Follow up on tickets at pre-defined intervals until resolved.

Monitor and escalate alerts from antivirus systems.

Monitor backup system alerts and escalate errors.


Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

1-2 years Information Technology support experience.

Understanding of TCP/IP networks.

Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques.

Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience with Powershell or Vbscript preferred but not required.
