Project/Position Introduction

This position supports the Kansas KanCare facility which provides eligibility determination services for federally-funded programs such as SCHIP and Medicaid.

Overview

The Facilities Coordinator serves as the contact point between MAXIMUS staff and vendors for office product suppliers, movers, printing and repairs, shipping vendors, and facility repair with the landlord. This position will manage facility-related service requests and set up new employees' and contractors' office/working space to meet individual and company needs. This position will also perform general office maintenance and repair activities.

Responsibilities

* Complete office repairs, scheduled maintenance, and day-to-day facility management issues with building property management office and interact with vendors (on the phone and in person)

* Perform daily tasks, including minor maintenance and furniture repairs and adjustments, and stocking office supplies to keep operations, building, and systems working with minimal interruptions to employees

* Monitor security breaches by reporting security system issues and monitoring completion

* Provide assistance with employees' internal office moves and office space rearrangements

* Create and delete security access for new and terminated employees as needed

* Complete training and personal development and keep current of industry trends in physical security

* Perform other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

* High school diploma or GED required

* Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience preferred

* At least two years' experience in facilities management maintenance, space planning, completing operational tasks for an office, and physical security administration required

* Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to successfully execute several complex tasks simultaneously

* Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

* Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently

* Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all information

* Ability to comply with current and updated policies and procedures

* Ability to interact courteously and effectively with a diverse population

* Ability to move up to 50 lbs

* Working knowledge of construction and furniture building preferred
