Reporting Relationship: Director of Information Technology

Primary Accountability:

The Enterprise Applications Administrator is responsible for the administration of FreeState's ERP system, NISC's iVUE. This responsibility includes providing support and training to end-users, as well as developing customized reports to support FreeState's various departments. The Enterprise Applications Administrator focuses on developing a firm foundation within multiple products in NISC's portfolio, as well as mastering the fundamentals of NISC's reporting/business intelligence tools.

Major Duties:

* Creates and presents end-user training programs for key software and service platforms.

* Develops a detailed understanding of all key business processes within the Cooperative and works with employees to create custom reports to better utilize system information.

* Maintains user accounts and permissions for all modules in the ERP system.

* Regularly audits account permissions to help minimize vulnerabilities and attack vectors.

* In conjunction with FreeState's ERP vendor, becomes the central point of contact for all internal ERP related support requests.

* In conjunction with FreeState's ERP vendor and the Director of IT, reviews software update release notes, ensures compatibility, communicates feature changes to employees, and schedules updates to the ERP system.

* Administers and supports FreeState's Office 365 environment, including SharePoint Online.

* Administers and supports other cloud-based applications and services, including JumpCloud and Cisco Meraki Systems Manager.

* Provides quality support as a member of the Information Technology Department which includes:

* Items assigned via Help Desk ticketing system, monitoring dashboards, chat, system alerts, phone, and direct e-mail.

* End-user support of hardware and software systems (e.g. Mac/PC, iPhone/iPad, printers, MFPs, etc.).

* Provides on-call, after-hours support, as necessary.

* Researches/designs new solutions to meet business needs and requirements.

* Assists with the development and implementation of all IT policies and procedures.

* Participates in planning as appropriate; to support in providing assurance that Cooperative strategies and goals are planned for appropriately and accurately within the Information Technology infrastructure.

* Performs additional duties as assigned by Management.


* A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, MIS or IS, as well as one (1) year of relevant work experience is required; A combination of education and relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

* At least one (1) year working knowledge of SaaS platforms (e.g. Office 365 and Google G Suite), as well as IaaS or PaaS platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, vCloud Air, etc.) is required. Two (2) years working knowledge is preferred.

* At least one (1) year working knowledge of virtualization technologies with emphasis on VMware and HyperV is required. Two (2) years working knowledge is preferred.

* At least one (1) year working knowledge in the setup and support of Linux and Windows operating systems is required. Two (2) years working knowledge is preferred.

* At least one (1) year working knowledge of Virtual Private Networks (VPN), firewalls, TCP/IP networks and network security is required. Two (2) years working knowledge is preferred.

* Excellent knowledge of client and server operating systems (e.g. Linux, UNIX, Windows Server, and macOS).

* Excellent knowledge on database administration and SQL; preferably Oracle.

* Excellent knowledge of business intelligence, report writing, data visualizations, or related experience.

* Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.

* Excellent presentation and training skills including presenting data in reports/visualizations.

* Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to effectively deal with end-users.

* Excellent research and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.

* Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethical behavior and confidentiality.

* Ability to organize, monitor and adjust work as necessary to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

* Ability to interact in a positive manner with internal and external contacts.

Physical Demands:

* Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

* Ability to read computer screens, mail and talk on the phone.

* Interaction with staff and members.

* Must be able to report to their primary worksite after regular business hours, as soon as possible, in the event of an emergency situation such as electrical outages, inclement weather, etc.
