Summary The Foundation Communications Manager brings to life Covenant Health#s mission of being a Catholic health ministry, providing healing and care for the whole person in service to all in our communities, for current donors and potential donors. Through collaboration with the Covenant Health marketing team, the Foundation team and local program managers and executives, the Foundation Communications Manager creates compelling content that helps donors and prospective donors connect to and understand our work, and to see the impact of their donations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities # Generates copy for fundraising and stewardship materials, such as brochures, direct mail appeals, power point presentations, emails, acknowledgement letters, and reports for Covenant Health Foundation. # Leads the development and implementation of annual creative project calendar and deliverables for fundraising and stewardship. # Investigates and recommends new fundraising strategies to maximize donor retention and acquisition of new donors. # Manages the Covenant Health Foundation graphic designer to ensure materials are of high quality and delivered according to plan. # Tailors reports and messaging for various segments to clearly demonstrate the impact of Covenant Health Foundation#s work. # Assists in securing photography, consents, and other creative elements. # Manages content for all Foundation web pages, including web architecture, content, and updates. Provides content for online giving pages for the post-acute facilities. # Works directly with Covenant Health Marketing team to update social media platforms with posts specific to philanthropy. # Coordinates timing and content for multi-channel approach to appeals, including direct mail content, digital appeals and campaigns, web updates, e-news and social media posts. # Responsible for all e-news content, timing and delivery. # Serves as a resource for the organization as needed. # Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health and the Catholic Health Ministry. # Other duties as consistent with this role. # Job Requirements Education # Experience: # Bachelor#s Degree in a related field # Minimum of five years# experience in fundraising or direct marketing writing # Job knowledge and skills: # Outstanding communication skills; excelling writing, editing, and proofreading skills; must possess attention to detail # Knowledge of best practices in fundraising and development communications # Ability to gather, evaluate, interpret, and present complex information in a donor-friendly and donor-centric manner # Ability to utilize stories and testimonies to create inspiring communications and create emotional connections with potential and existing donors # Knowledge of web-based technology and email marketing to coordinate messaging/appeals # Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines for internal and external customers # Demonstrated experience utilizing brand guidelines in writing projects # Basic knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and marketing automation systems preferred # Ability to work under pressure and challenging deadlines and adaptability and flexibility required.
