Foundation Specialist Temple

Provides guidance and support in the planning, development, and implementation of fundraising programs and activities, provides broad-based support to higher-level foundation staff in support of the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of donors.


  • Participates in the development, implementation, and assessment of donor solicitation strategies
  • Represents the institution at business, community, and professional organizations
  • Devises and uses consistent, accurate and appropriate information sharing mechanisms for stewarding prospects and donors. Responds to donor inquiries with accurate and timely information.
  • Writes, prepares, and disseminates donor correspondence, reports and fundraising materials such as brochures and newsletters. Creates, maintains and ensures the integrity of donor records.
  • Maintains effective relationships with peers, donors and others in diverse environments
  • Designs and creates professional-quality graphics for brochures, posters, print materials, slide graphics and websites using the various programs mentioned to meet organization's educational and promotional needs
  • Assist with special events as needed and other tasks as needed.

Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including the ability to elicit and communicate information in a clear, informative and concise manner and strong command of English language and grammar. Confident public relations and interpersonal skills.

Excellent project management skills with strong attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to work independently and consistently meet all deadlines

Strategic and creative thinking, with the confidence to introduce new perspectives and approaches to challenges and assigned projects.

Ability to establish and maintain internal and external collaborative working relationships to support fundraising activities

Experience working in communications, including with various digital media, web design, publishing and customer relationship management tools

Ability to establish and maintain internal and external collaborative working relationships to support fundraising activities

Ability to travel as required to regions across Central Texas

Knowledge of fundraising programs, methods, and techniques

Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations
