Overview and Responsibilities:

The WHS Contract Risk Manager will have the primary role to manage outsourced work performed for any Amazon business unit. In this role, they will be the primary liaison to Avetta, Procurement, NACF WHS, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, RME, Legal, Loss Prevention, AMOC and other stakeholders on the successful execution of health and safety information, training programs and specific documents to work being performed. Specifically, they will work on establishing Amazon WHS requirements for contractors through Avetta. Partner with Avetta on interface enhancements on the software, and develop and execute a detailed implementation plan for large vendors and smaller vendors at the network and site level.

WHS Contract Risk, PM, CRM Responsibilities:

· Develop a deep working relationship and partnership with Procurement, Ops Construction, Ops Engineering, Research & Design, RME, Loss Prevention, Legal, NA WHS, and WW WHS.

· Be responsible for updating, maintaining and assisting the network in the implementation of the Contractor Prequalification process as outlined in the NA WHS Contractor Management Procedure.

· Be responsible for the development and execution of the Amazon Workers Management process from a WHS perspective.

· Be responsible for facilities escalation management, vendor dispatch and tracking, documentation and resolution management for multiple Amazon business units with and without dedicated onsite maintenance personnel, local WHS, Procurement or Security.

· Become the Workers Management SME and share lessons learned with other regions around the world that are also implementing the same program.

· Establish Contractor Workers Management training requirements for stakeholders at the site and network levels.

· Be responsible for the development and execution of the Amazon Contractor Prequalification process from a WHS perspective in GSF and AMOC sites.

· Establish Contractor Prequalification training requirements for stakeholders at the site and network levels.

· Be Amazon’s Liaison from a WHS perspective for Contractor Outreach and communications.

· Establish a check-in/check-out process using Contractor Prequalification data with direct partnership with Loss Prevention, GSF WHS, Operations, and AMOC.

· Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to Contractor Prequalification to respond to network and outside questions.

· Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) the network can use to measure Contractor Prequalification implementation performance at the network and site levels.

· Manage Amazon’s Contractor Prequalification field safety audits compared to prequalification submissions.

· Support the NA WHS Compliance and Governance team in audit expectations and procedure clarifications related to Contractor Management.

· Stay attuned to changing regulations and internal WHS performance to change policies when required.

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational, Health and Safety (OSH), Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), finance or procurement related fields, or other related fields from an accredited university

· Must possess a minimum of 5+ years’ work experience in OSH, WHS, contractor management, contractor safety, program implementation or providing direct oversight for 3rd party services/contractors.

· Technical or Procedure Writing skills

Preffered Qualifications

· Master’s degree preferred

· Experience with Gensuite as EHS application tool.

· Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certified.

· Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.

· Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.

· Have or working towards NEBOSH, or equivalent certification.

· Have or working towards a PE, ASP, CSP or other recognized professional certification

· Working knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, ISO, etc.

· Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certified.

· Have a detailed understanding of Health & Safety regulatory requirements.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.

· Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.

· Experience in technical, standards, or program writing.

· Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to influence and partner with all levels of the organization and outside contacts.
