Position Summary

The Proposal Specialist I’s primary role is to create sales proposals on behalf of Freedom Forever’s network of third-party Dealers and Sales Representatives. This position will utilize proposal and design software to properly assess and propose a solar system based on the information received from a Sales Representative prior to and at the time of sale. This position will be a key player in supporting sales and ensuring a properly sized system is designed and proposed to the homeowner. Proposal Specialist Is main objective is to create accurate proposals as requested by Sales Representatives within the timeframes set by management.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design and draft solar contract proposals for in-home sales reps while they are waiting in potential customer’s home
  • Enter data into Sunrun, Aurora and Sighten portals, including:
    • Utility company and average utility usage
    • Roof plane definitions
    • Fire code setbacks
    • Computerized images of panels on home’s roof layout
    • Sales person’s directions
  • Utilize knowledge of utility, AHJ and Freedom policies to generate accurate proposals
  • Understands how to generate a contract based off a proposal
  • Understands finance in terms of loan products, dealer fees and how to price them in conjunction with net and gross price per watt
  • Responsible for pre-sale inquiries such as questions about finance, construction, etc.
  • Provides real-time support for sales representatives in the home.
  • Creates a proposal in under 10 minutes
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements

  • Preferred CAD, engineering, architectural or construction experience
  • Preferred experience with sales, administration, and customer support
  • Must be proficient at multitasking, high attention to details
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Excellent telephone skills required
  • Must be an advanced user of computer tools for communication and problem solving.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Must have outstanding follow-through
  • Must obtain Home Improvement Salesperson License
