General Summary:

Shall perform duties as assigned at various sites within the system for indeterminate periods of time. Under general direction, performs procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Provides patient care, performs duties in an organized manner and exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection when appropriate and compliance with regulations. Maintains records for compliance with quality control/assurance activities. Assumes responsibility for designated area and clinical instruction as appropriate.

Essential Duties:

* Performs quality special imaging studies through verification of patient identification and physician order.

* Demonstrates ability to proficiently operate all imaging equipment in a safe manner.

* Ensures quality and safe patient care.

* Contributes to the effective operations of the department.

* Effectively communicates to administrative, medical staff, subordinates and peers.

* Attends work on schedule.

Standard Qualifications:

* Education: Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent; experience with one or more of certifications listed below.

* Experience: Minimal as gained at student level.

* Licensure: Registry/Registry eligible by ARDMS in OB-GYN and Abdominal Ultrasound.

* Skills: Possess strong interpersonal/technical skills. Demonstrates entry level technical skills.
