GENERAL PURPOSE: The Tele-App Sales Representative works in an incoming sales phone queue completing applications over the phone from prospective members who are responding to various media advertising. The Tele-App Representative performs various outbound calls during assigned times. The Tele-App Rep works in web-based application entry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes Enrollment and Plan Change Applications following a strict script protocol.
- Offers brief Q&A to prospective members or refers prospects back to Rep of the Day agent for deeper explanation.
- Makes outbound calls to members who may be eligible for plan changes.
- Uses CRM for lead tracking, client status and follow-up.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; previous Tele-Sales experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to: work from designated office for collaborative/interactive fulfillment of duties; concentrate in an open-office 'cubicle' environment; appropriately and directly interact with other staff members and/or outside associates; perform telephone and/or computer work for extended periods of time; operate office equipment such as computer, telephone, and copy/scan/fax machine; attend and participate in meetings via phone, computer, or in person.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including good grammar, voice and diction. Able to read and interpret documents and calculate figures and amounts. Proficient (intermediate level) in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with basic computer and keyboarding skills. Excellent customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful).
Understanding of plan benefits and the ability to explain plan benefits. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Must be available to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION: 215 or 240 Agent Department of Insurance license required.
