Sodexo is seeking a Construction / Project Manager 2 for the University of Tampa in Tampa, FL. The University has an enrollment of nearly 9000 students. Sodexo manages all facilities on campus which is over 3 million sq. ft. Construction managed volume is over $40M annually.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintaining a facilities database and system of all building construction, utility infrastructure, campus maps and life safety/evacuation plans;

* oversee all construction projects at the facilities from cradle to grave;

* development and adherence to University standards, contracts, bidding, able to manage many projects at once from small office relocates to multi-story new construction;

* working with campus leadership on all construction projects including, but not limited to initial project planning, Owner's Project Requirements, permitting;

* prepare presentations and reports for campus leadership about the upcoming projects and status updates;

* Track all financials for projects which will be about $40 million a year;

* Project Schedule forecasting, critical path analysis;

* Capital Improvement recommendations;

* Quality Control Inspections from Design to Construction punchlists;

* Building Close-Out documentation.

The ideal candidate will have:

* A proven track record of successful in Construction and Project Management leadership experience as demonstrated by articulated results and accomplishments;

* an architectural or engineering degree;

* life safety and Florida building code knowledge;

* LEED certification is preferred;

* experience working with a CMMS;

* managed multi-million dollar construction projects;

* exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills;

* experience working with outside vendors and subcontractors;

* has strong financial acumen and budget management experience;

* CAD, Revit and/or BIM experience is desired;

* Campus Master and Space Planning experience.

Position Summary

Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated capital projects. Reviews project proposal, establishes work plan and manages contractors to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.

Key Duties- Construction Management including scheduling and financial management - Quality Control and Safety - Project Engineering including following specifications, design adaptation by ensure design and specifications meet codes and specification - Sub-contractor management - Administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, minutes, maintaining documentation and customer liaison

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 5 years
