Sherloq Solutions is seeking to add a talented Accounting Manager to our thriving Company. This position is for candidates who can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to create and take ownership of the company's accounting and finance operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Regular review and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts owned by CFO
  • Organize and maintain a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of general ledger and reporting systems
  • Play a key role in system upgrades and process design, data migration, testing and training
  • Drive and manage the full accounting team performance for the monthly and annual close

process to meet close deadlines timely and accurately

  • Collaborate with the CFO to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
  • Assist in the preparation and review of GAAP, and regulatory financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
  • Monitoring cash flows and forecasting cash requirements
  • Experience with investment and trust accounts
  • Assist with various special projects as necessary

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • CPA or MBA preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent degree and/or experience
  • 4+ years of recent relevant financial experience
  • Strong general ledger, investment, bank, and trust account reconciliation experience
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions
  • Financial statements consolidation experience required
  • Month end and fiscal year end closing experience
  • Solid technology and analytical abilities (Great Plains and Excel skills required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
  • Proven problem solving, analytical, troubleshooting and time-management skills
