Sr. Production Supervisor
 Talpa, TX

Position Overview

The Sr. Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the equipment, staff and processes on the production floor. They will manage the production team and oversee scheduling and day-to-day production activities. The position reports to Fluence’s Production Manager.

Major Responsibilities

  • Work with Production Manager to establish workflow policies that enhance
    speed and efficiency without compromising product quality
  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels
  • Monitor quality standards of products, engage with Engineering, Mfg
    Engineering, and Quality as appropriate to deliver product which meets quality
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet
    quality objectives
  • Monitor production and quality controls to detect and correct problems as
    they arise
  • Manage and implement cost control programs
  • Maintain communication between management and employees to ensure that
    necessary policies are understood and followed
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Motivating,
    leading, and supervising the Production team.
  • Managing
    day to day performance and providing timely feedback and direction.
  • Ensure
    all employees follow industry standard environmental, health and safety
  • Recruiting
    and hiring top talent

Required Skills

  • 5-7
    years Leadership experience in a medium to large scale operation where they
    have led and successfully implemented a major change effort, including the
    ability to engage and influence cross-functionally.
  • 7
    -10 years supervising and managing people, include managing performance / team
    development, and driving data based continuous improvement.
  • Experience
    in the development and implementation of a training and certification system.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication skills are a must, skilled with handling
    challenging personnel and situations.
  • Experienced
    operating within a LEAN environment and can drive LEAN based improvement

Preferred Skills

  • 6
    sigma Green or Black belt Certified
  • ERP
    system experience to manage and monitor and drive improvement on the operations
    team performance.
  • Willingness
    to be flexible around work hours to include extra hours to ensure required work
    is completed.
  • Ability
    to give and receive constructive feedback; can handle conflict; knows how to
    negotiate and influence.
  • Has
    experience integrating NPD/NPI activities into the day to day operations.
  • Bachelor’s
    Degree in a business or technical program, or equivalent experience.
