Production Manager
 Talpa, TX



The Production Manager is responsible for all areas of planning, organization, and control of production to ensure that customer orders are produced efficiently, meeting quality requirements, delivered on time and within budget. The position reports to Fluence’s VP of Operations.

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment on Goals and Objectives across the production team, utilizing
    the appropriate management review processes to monitor performance, and identify/drive
    opportunities for Continuous Improvement
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without
    compromising product quality
  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels aligned
    to the production plan provided by Supply Chain / Planning function.
  • Collaborate with Mfg Engineering and Quality Functions to;
  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet
    quality objectives
  • Analyze production and quality control data to detect and correct
  • Manage production budgets and implement cost control programs; coordinate
    with Mfg Engineering on cost reduction projects
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant
    departments including Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Motivating,
    leading, and managing the Production team.
  • Managing
    day to day performance and providing timely feedback and direction.
  • Ensure
    all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines
  • Recruiting
    and hiring top talent
  • Coordinating
    cross functionally to ensure production needs are met

Required Skills

  • 7-10
    years Leadership experience in a medium to large scale operation where they
    have led and successfully implemented a major change effort, including the
    ability to engage and influence cross-functionally.
  • 10
    plus years supervising and managing people to include building and developing
    the team, managing performance, and driving process based, data driven, continuous
  • Experience
    in creating and implementing a training and certification program/system.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication skills are a must, including the ability to handle
    challenging people and situations.
  • Experienced
    profession operating within a LEAN environment and can drive LEAN based
    improvement activities.
  • Bachelor’s
    Degree in a Business or Technical field of study

Preferred Skills

  • 6
    sigma Green or Black belt Certified
  • Experience
    with the development of ERP system, including use of data (ideally ERP based)
    to manage, monitor and drive improvement on the operations team performance.
  • Willingness
    to be flexible around work hours to include extra hours to ensure required work
    is completed.
  • Ability
    to give and receive constructive feedback; can handle conflict; knows how to
    negotiate and influence.
  • Has
    experience integrating NPD/NPI activities into the day to day operations.
  • Master’s
    Degree in Business field of study (e.g. MBA)
