Job Summary

Job Summary

Operate manual and CNC metal fabrication equipment such as pipe bender, milling machine, lathe and press break. Work to close tolerances, use power hand tools, shop tools and measuring devices. Perform in-process and final quality checks to ensure work meets company standard.

Under supervision of the Group Lead or designee:

* Ability to operate CNC or manual bending machine.

* Able to read Blueprints and Specifications.

* Knowledge in small hand tools, drill press, notcher, milling machines, band saw, chop-saw, pipe bender, lathe, and coping machines.

* Perform as a self-starter with the ability to carry out assigned duties with minimal supervision.

* Able to effectively function as part of a team.

* Perform a wide range of bending, milling and fabrication tasks.

Technical Ability

Assume full responsibility for quality by:

* Performing functions and activities correctly the first time.

* Never assemble components incorrectly and then knowingly fail to make the corrections.

* Always thinking of ways to improve quality through alternative processes or techniques.

* Assembly parts, components and finished products into product cartons and crates ready for shipment.

* Safety Compliance

* 5S


* Ability to perform multiple tasks.

* Ability to successfully cross train in required areas

* Ability to successfully work to required productivity standards in required areas.

* Ability to excess in a high paced environment

* Must demonstrate expertise with multiple welding techniques and materials.

* Fabrication and power tool experience preferred.

* Must understand verbal and written instructions and demonstrate ability to work with engineering drawings.

* Strong problem solving skills.

* Must be able to work independently.


* High School diploma.

* CNC Machining Certification a plus.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* 3 years' experience in the filed

Additional Information

Physical Demands

Job requires the ability to move about within the facility in the facilitation of work teams, problem solving, and communication with employees and management. Occasionally requires sitting at a desk for processing paperwork and communication.

Work Environment

Job is performed indoors but may vary within specific departments as assigned. Frequently involves working in areas with noise levels exceed 85 dBa requiring use of hearing protection. May involve working in extreme temperature and/or where outdoor activities are involved. May involve limited contact with outside customers and suppliers as needed.
