Description of Job Duties:
This position is one of several technical advisory positions within the Florida Public Service Commission. As such, this position requires the review and analysis of petitions filed by regulated utilities in order to prepare written recommendations. Such recommendations are subsequently presented by the staff member for consideration by the five Public Service Commissioners at public meetings. A qualified candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate orally and in writing technical information in a clear and concise manner to non-engineers; prepare spreadsheets, graphs, and other visual aids to assist in presenting such information; and manage workload to ensure that deadlines are met.
Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in an area of engineering.
Special consideration will be given to applicants with the ability to review, analyze, and evaluate data and the ability to community effectively verbally and in writing.
This position requires possession of a valid driver license.
