Position Summary:

The Practice Optimization Consultant will assist in establishing and operating MultiCares Provider Wellness Program. The Practice Optimization Consultant supports providers, both Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, through improvement activities. The scope of this function will be in both operations of business processes and clinical practice areas throughout MultiCare Health System. The goals of this position are to provide consulting leadership, advocacy and mentoring to providers through optimizing day-to-day business and clinical operations.

A well rounded candidate with sufficient experience will work in conjunction with a Provider Counselor to provide coaching, Clinical Medical Education (CME), write and deliver curricula/seminars, facilitate small groups in the workplace or in homes after hours, coordinate physician and family events, serve on-call rotations, fulfill organizational development tasks related to providing leadership in change, and act as an ambassador of the program to the provider client base. Maintaining a global and holistic perspective is critical, as well as maintaining flexibility to competing job demands. Collaborating with MultiCare internal resources and leaders, as well as external programs will determine the programs success.

Minimum Requirements:

Seven years of facilitation, project management or performance improvement experience or intermediate-level training required

Five years of healthcare related experience preferred

Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state


Masters degree in relevant subject matter or Bachelors Degree and 10 or more years of experience in Organizational Effectiveness, Quality Management, or Performance Consulting

Clinical or operational experience preferred
