Dietary Aide - Per Diem - St. Joseph

Location: St. Joseph

Job Summary:

Prepares and sets up food, supplies and nourishment for patients in accordance with recognized safety, sanitation and food-handling standards and procedures. Delivers food trays to patients in rooms as required.

Essential Duties:

Serves food in accordance with recognized safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards and procedures.

Assists other department areas to maintain proper levels of stock and services.

Follows department and government safety and sanitation standards.

Maintains a "clean as you go" workspace.

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

Six months recent work experience in a healthcare field and/or large-volume food preparation that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities

Licensure/Certification:

* Current Washington State Department of Health Food Worker Card is required.

* For Dietary Aide-Lead: Advanced Food Safety Certification (available from NEHA or ServeSafe) must be obtained within 90 days of working in a lead position, and will be verified by department management.

If assigned catering delivery duties:

* Current Washington State Driver's License, subject to state vehicle verification to comply with hospital insurance requirements.
