Product Owner

Innovative Interfaces, Inc Syracuse, NY
The Product Owner is responsible for translatingmarket needs as defined by Innovative's product management team into actionableartifacts to be used by the engineering team to develop Innovative's softwareproducts that meet the defined customer need.

DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions:

* Leadsthe development of JIRA Story tasks and Confluence artifacts for the team.

* Assistswith requirements gathering and analysis.

* Providesfeedback that improves the quality of requirements artifacts.

* SupportsProduct Management in handoff and rollout sessions.

* Identifiesdesign problems; develops and presents solutions to resolve these problems.

* Providesdomain expertise and product knowledge to the team.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Researchestopics as needed for new development.

* AttendsSupport Department expert meetings as needed.

* Triageand analyze JIRA Problem Report and Bug tasks as needed.

* Testsoftware changes.

* Assistwith the creation of configuration and installation procedures as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Education, Licenses, and Certifications:

* Bachelor's degree, or combination of some college and experience.

Experience:

* Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

* LibraryOperations

* SoftwareDesign

* SoftwareSpecification Writing

* SoftwareIntegration

* SoftwareQuality Assurance

* SoftwareApplication Support

* SoftwareEngineering

* SystemsAnalysis

* Experiencewith Agile methodologies.

CriticalKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

* Familiaritywith creating mock user interfaces using tools such as Balsamiq, Axure, etc.

* Excellentanalytic skills.

* Strongwritten and verbal communication skills.

* Strongattention to detail

* Abilityto work independently and as part of a team.

* Abilityto organize and prioritize work.

* Goodresearch skills.

* Goodproblem-solving skills.

Preferred

* MLISor BS Computer Science.

* Familiaritywith library practices and procedures.

* Experiencewith Library Automation Software.

* Experiencewith UNIX, RDBMS, Windows O/S.

* Experienceduser of iOS and/or Android mobile applications with a specific passion forusability.

* Programmingexperience.

* ScriptingLanguage Experience.

ADDITIONALREQUIREMENTS OR INFORMATION

* Although duties are typicallyperformed during normal business hours, occasional off-hours work may berequired to meet customer and/or business needs.

* Position may be required to travel occasionally to attendconferences and training, and conduct customer visits.
