Performs assigned day to day repairs, moves, adds and changes. Manages installations for small to large projects. Solves complex telecommunications problems by defining and discerning key aspects of the problem. Performs preventative maintenance on telecom systems and related applications. Identifies, isolates, and evaluates system failures. Monitors systems performance to ensure optimum operations. Documents and maintains database. Maintains inventory of telecommunications equipment based on pre-established par levels. Participates in the telecommunications lifecycles of the telecom systems and related applications. Recommends strategies for enhancing and modernizing telecommunications and related data environments.
Responsible for installing, trouble-shooting, maintaining and supporting VoIP & TDM telephone service, along with other communication equipment. Ability to travel between sites from Burlingame to Watsonville & out to Fremont, Dublin & Danville. Ability to work & communicate well with others. Coordinate with users to facilitate projects, moves, adds & changes.

Demonstrable deep knowledge of various telecommunications platforms and emerging telecommunication technologies/ approaches.
Demonstrated experience in a voice telecommunications capacity as typically acquired in 6 to 8 years.
Experience within a healthcare environment is desirable.
Knowledge of cabling standards and ability to maintain documentation as required.
Knowledge of system specific connectivity from desktop device to call control device.
Troubleshoot complex problems and escalate as appropriate.
Manage and/or be involved in multiple projects at the same time and deliver quality service.
Provide training and guidance to colleagues as required.
