Sr Data Analyst - Ad Tech / Marketing



The Sr. Data Analyst you'll operate in the intersection of the business, data and technology in a hyper-growth environment. You will collaborate with products and businesses within, TGA, and Target Media Network to uncover insights and build/program solutions to problems. You'll work with senior leaders across the Digital – Web and Mobile platforms to shape the future of Target with a rigorous data mindset.

* Work with the business to define a problem, find the requisite data and propose solutions based on data analysis

* Understand and anticipate problems and move to solve them quickly

* Create and automate reporting and insights at scale that informs/influences business and product decisions

* Drive acceptance of data solutions and influence decision-makers with the results of your analysis

* Democratize data and insights as you strive to deliver self-service tools to your partners and enable them to make better decisions quicker

* Deliver dashboard reporting and hold products and businesses accountable for results against goals and objectives


* Bachelor's degree in a technical/analytics field

* 4+ years of experience working in analytics and reporting within the Digital (web and mobile) or Retail industries

* Large scale, hands on experience with analytics technologies and tools such as: SQL, R, Hadoop/Hive, Spark, DOMO or equivalent

* Deep understanding of technical and analytical approaches, including: digital and brick and mortar multivariate testing (design, execution and analysis) and predictive modeling

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak to both business and technical teams as well as clearly translate ideas between them

* Comfort with ambiguity and open-ended problems

* Desire and ability to learn new data/analytics technologies and concepts quickly and utilize at scale
