The Role

* Proofpoint is always looking to hire exceptional people. We help some of the largest and most successful companies in the world defend, protect, and govern their most sensitive data; and we are currently building our next generation of cloud-based solutions that will literally change the way people work.

* We currently are seeking an Office Receptionist to join our growing team. In this role you will be working as the receptionist, managing the front desk from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and back-up to the Office Manager.

Your day-to-day

* Daily - Sign in job interview candidate/take NDA and email to recruiter/call hiring manager upon arrival

* Daily - Answer Phones

* Daily - Pickup Mail

* Daily – Sign for UPS/FEDEX packages

* Daily – Create shipping labels for letters going to Calif via UPS or contact Calif to create a label if it is for a box

* Daily - Order lunch for meetings

* Daily – Issue and manage badges to those needing them

* Daily - Order office supplies if requested or needed

* Back-up office manager on miscellaneous duties

What you bring to the team

* Good communication and Interpersonal Skills. The candidate should have good communication skills and maintain good relationships with all employees, vendors, and clients as they are the first impression of the company when one walks into the building.

* Must be dependable

* Multi-task: The candidate must know how to multi-task as they will be handling several tasks simultaneously including juggling multiple phone lines; face-to-face contact with vendors and employees and misc. clerical duties.

* Organization Skills: The candidate must be organized and maintain a tidy work area.

* Technical Skills: The candidate should have knowledge and experience using phone systems, copiers, and printers

* Familiarity with Excel is a plus

* Must have previous office experience
