Job Summary

The Busser works closely with Front of the House Team to ensure our guests receive excellent service. Busser's will help Servers refill non-alcoholic beverages, deliver food and are responsible for ensuring that tables are cleared, cleaned, and properly set for guests. Responsible for ensuring all guests are made to feel welcome and comfortable at all times.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists guests with their needs
  • Helps Servers attend to their tables
  • Exhibits teamwork
  • Clears and cleans tables quickly
  • Brings dirty tableware to the kitchen area
  • Delivers food to tables when Servers are busy
  • Assists in refilling beverages for guests
  • Informs Server of guest requests
  • Informs management of any guest complaints or concerns
  • Observes guest dining experience, pre-busses table throughout the meal
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, floors, sandbox, and other areas of the restaurant throughout the shift
  • Assists with other front of the house restaurant duties that can include: Filling ice bins, filling chips, making iced tea, rolling silverware, and restocking the server station
  • Assists with maintain the overall appearance of the restaurant that can include: Janitorial side work such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning windows and doors, etc.
  • Performs side-work at the start of the shift, running duties during shift and closing duties at the end of the shift
  • Performs all duties and responsibilities according to the Company’s written employee handbook, including performance expectations and dress/grooming guidelines
  • May perform other guest facing related duties as assigned by management
  • All responsibilities in adherence to Willie’s Grill & Icehouse policies, procedures & job functions
  • Ability to follow company, state, and county sanitation standards
  • Attends all company meetings, training seminars as required



  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Have a valid food handler's license

  • Adherence to know and follow posted schedule and strict adherence to posted clock in/out times


  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs frequently and able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
