Job Overview

This position will be the Executive People Services professional at the property level, responsible for planning and policy development and implementation related to all phases of human resources activities, including: Talent acquisition, both international and domestic (current knowledge of non-immigrant visa programs preferred); Talent development and organizational planning; Compensation and benefits administration; Management at property level to maintain adherence to all current federal and state regulations; and Associate safety and Workers Compensation management. Ensures compliance with all EEO/Affirmative Action requirements. Assumes a strong leadership role in supporting a team member-oriented environment that strives to achieve a high level of job satisfaction and engagement. Partners closely with Managing Director to build organizational culture and promote Core Values.

Essential Functions

* Lead property in understanding and enforcement of company policies and standards through written material, training, and consistent administration.

* Oversee management of all team member health and welfare benefits, survey administration, and open enrollment meetings.

* Counsels associates and managers on associate relations issues and problems; ensures disciplinary action and terminations of employment are carried out in accordance with current state and federal guidelines.

* Ensures timely recording and processing of all workers compensation claims

* Manages compensation programs through job and market analyses, and makes recommendations on position wage ranges in a systematic and consistent manner.

* Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Performance Management. Ensures that pay increases and performance appraisals are completed, submitted and received in a timely manner and offers final approval of all pay increases.

* Oversees all company-wide training & development programs that are administered.

* Launches and drives the team member engagement survey and action plan

* Embraces diversity and is strategic in resolving cultural issues amongst team members.

* Oversees coordination of all associate recognition programs and associate events.

* Prepares and monitors the People Services budget and forecast.

* Provides leadership to and manages all activities of the People Services staff.

* Assume duties of EEO/ Affirmative Action Officer for the company as described in the company's Affirmative Action Plan.


* The ability to have a balance in being a Strategic Business Partner while also being hands-on as a People Services leader.

* People services/human resources experience in a complex, 4-season resort setting a plus.

* Proven track record of success in all aspects of recruiting, including international, non-immigrant visa programs, as well as domestic/local, college and executive recruitment

* Experience managing on and off-site associate housing a plus, including lease negotiations, transportation planning, and ensuring current safety standards are met both in rental apartments/houses and dormitory properties.

* Previous experience in partnering with key leaders at the property to achieve property and organizational objectives.

* Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or related field.

* PHR or SPHR Certification a plus.

* Minimum of 7-10 years professional experience in People Services/Human Resources, including 5 years of experience in a Hotel/Resort or related Hospitality environment.

* Excellent command of various federal, state and local employment best practices, laws and regulations.

* Computer proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office products required.

* Energetic self-starter, with strong leadership skills, work ethic, and highest level of integrity.

* Must pass driving record back ground check that meets insurance company standards.

* Effective oral, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
