Job Description

The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for daily supervision and direction of kitchen staff. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of menu items and quality standards for restaurants and catering functions. Ensure all food and physical safety standards are adhered to. Assist in ordering and properly storing food.


* Assign, train and supervise specific duties to culinary employees in a positive manner for efficient operation of the kitchen. Lead and assist in the daily production for the restaurant outlets. Visually inspect, select and use only the freshest fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, fowl and other food products of the highest standard in the preparation of all menu items. Ensure consistent quality and presentation of prepared dishes.

* Develop and train culinary staff on daily specials for the restaurant. Assist in development of all outlet menus and plate presentation. Prepare special dietary meals if needed.

* Ensure proper, storage (including temperature setting) and rotation of food products so as to comply with health department regulations. Ensure daily completion of all food safety documentation. Assist in the ordering of food, paper goods and chemical products.



High school or equivalent education required.


The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years food and beverage service background required. Prior hospitality and supervisory experience preferred.
