Manager, Direct Marketing - Multicultural

POSITION SUMMARY

This Manager is responsible for the implementation (not strategy) of direct marketing initiatives across the residential multicultural market, including direct mail, email, and trigger programs.

You will be expected to contribute to the flawless execution of direct mail campaigns from inception through post campaign analysis. To qualify for this position you should have a successful track record of managing direct marketing projects and strong project management skills. Knowledge of Spanish helpful but not required.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Contribute to the flawless execution of national direct marketing campaigns targeted to multicultural markets to drive sales and results across all product lines.

* Work closely with the Multicultural strategy team to ensure segments, messaging, and product offerings are aligned.

* Develop segmentation strategies and create mail matrices, working closely with the Database Marketing team to monitor list execution.

* Strive to outperform defined response targets for direct marketing programs inclusive of acquisition, customer upgrade and email, and recommend opportunities to improve results.

* Communicate with the Multicultural team and their vendors about production formats, templates, schedules and guidelines.

* Contribute to response tracking and analysis as needed, and produce post campaign performance reports.

* Support the direct mail budget and report on expenses.

* Maintain and communicate campaign calendars for all campaigns.

* Collaborate with teams across marketing and the entire organization to plan and execute trigger programs.

* Proof read to match creative, versions and other campaign elements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

* Expertise in direct marketing (especially direct mail and email) with knowledge of production processes, list segmentation, key performance metrics and measurement methodologies

* Strong attention to detail.

* Ability to work on cross-functional teams to bring projects to fruition

* Highly developed capacity for teamwork and a strong focus on the customer

* Strong communication and organizational skills

* Ability to work independently

* Ability to manage multiple projects from beginning to end

* Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment

Education

* Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline and/or an equivalent experience

Related Work Experience

* Direct marketing experience to include: 6+ years

* Marketing management: 4+ years

* Project Management: 4+ years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Working knowledge of Spanish helpful but not required

* Knowledge of cable television, high speed Internet and phone products and services preferred
