Stamford Health is looking for an experienced Development Associate to support its comprehensive fundraising program by identifying, researching, tracking and reporting on donors. In addition, the Development Associate will be responsible for researching donors and prospective donors, utilizing in-house files and a variety of online sources to identify prospects who have an interest in, and capacity for, making a gift. They will prepare confidential profile reports on major gift prospects for meetings and strategy planning and prepare briefings for development events.

Required Skills

* Accurate data entry to maintain the integrity of donor demographic and gift information.

* Responsible for reviewing, entering and posting of all income in Raiser's Edge.

* Analyze gifts to determine appropriate campaign, fund, appeal and letter code for acknowledgement.

* Stewardship of donors with acknowledgement of donations within 48 hours to assure continued support.

* Set up gift pledges and process and send out pledge reminders and corporate matching gifts forms.

* Manages online donation processing and resolutions for issues, refunds, errors, and declines and invalid cards.

* Responsible for adding and maintaining accurate constituent records, both electronic and hardcopy.

* Manages database integrity through analysis to maintain accurate donor data and relationships.

* Monitors queries to audit constituent data in Raiser's Edge to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.

* Ability to assess current data information (new and historical) and make suggestions for improvements for database integrity.

* Produce monthly gift reports for Finance.

* Assist Director, Operations & Development in reconciling gift discrepancies.

* Receive and direct incoming calls to the Foundation in a professional and courteous manner.

Required Experience

* Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years gift processing experience with a nonprofit organization.

* Experience with Raisers Edge is preferred.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
