The Role

The Retirement Systems Group (RSG) facilitates system development needs, product management/software governance and builds and delivers quality software, and support. This includes Valuation Systems, Client Portal and Client Facing Systems (such as Channel), Benefits Broking and Management, Benchmarking and other systems, most of which are used globally.

As a Business Systems Analyst within the RSG Channel software development team, you will be working with the business product owner as well as the product manager/lead developer to understand, manage and test requirements and software. As you learn, you will grow to manage some of those functions on your own for the team. In addition, can gain experience via interacting in global scope supporting and debugging actual client use-cases with Willis Towers Watson colleagues from around the globe.

About the Product

The Cost & Risk Management Channel provides daily monitoring of a postretirement benefit program's financial condition and annual cost. Additionally, Channel is a powerful forecasting tool that provides what-if capabilities to consultants and clients. It is global, handles accounting and funding and therefore can easily illustrate all the plans of a multinational company. It has various modules for Stochastic results and Investments and more.

The Role's Activities

* Use the product to assist in debug support requests and for new feature modeling, work with the developers to insure full understanding (for coding and unit testing), test execution and regression testing for both enhancements and bugs

* Test the requirements and the software, execute testing and work closely with others on the team

* Requirements review and possibly some requirements elaboration to detail in writing; for example, test cases or storyboards

* Relate the requirements to developers and improve, revise them in review and in-step with change

* Assist in documentation both system and end user, including adding marketing flair

* Work with the Swift product team as that Excel based product is the Channel's calculation engine. Use Swift and grow to become an expert with the product

* Support product quality and development process conventions

The Requirements

* 3+ years of experience as an Analyst, working with various software and documenting related processes and results in an organized fashion

* Experience with Retirement Pension Plans needed for this role. Actuarial background a plus, ASA/EA credentials a considerable plus

* Quality focus related to software usage, inputs and output

* Strong oral and written communication skills; team player Self-sufficient creative problem solver capable of indirect solutions

* A passion to improve the product and for doing user support

* Desire to learn, accept new challenges and have fun

* Knowledge of projections of pension plan accounting/funding results a significant plus

* Good with Microsoft Excel. If a Willis Towers Watson existing college being a Swift user or other benefit plan forecasting system is a plus

* Bachelors Degree required
