Responsibilities

Description:

The Systems Security Engineer (SSE) will provide support for the initiative directly supporting the GEOINT Services Transformation Office (STT). The SSE will lead the integration & transformation of GEOINT services ensuring accessibility of customer needs, emerging technologies, and continuous engagement. The SSE will support the GEOINT Services Transformation team by providing GEOINT Services Mission Assurance to deliver relevant GEOINT capabilities. The SSE will manage customer visualization needs and requirements at the enterprise level. The SSE will support innovative acquisitions of GEOINT software applications through the execution of the Application Provider Program and manage the Applications Services Governance Board, the central governing process body for all Applications. The SSE will collaborate across the community to integrate numerous tools and capabilities that support the mission, development community, DevOps and analytic environments. The SSE should have a working understanding of NGA’s organizational structure and how it works together to provide support. The SSE will be a key contributor to enabling innovative all source capabilities engineering and technology insertion processes, from mission needs identification through rapid solutions implementation.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Provide SE&I project leadership and technical guidance supporting GEOINT Services TransformationUnderstand/Analyze technological details of GEOINT Services Transformations to include interfaces and dependencies within the NSGIntegrate across enterprise stakeholders ensuring alignment of requirements & scheduled activities, to deliver fully integrated & functional GEOINT servicesCoordinate specific GEOINT Services Transformation events including both formal & informal testingLead/Coordinate specific GEOINT Services transformations events.Create various communications artifacts to support assigned GEOINT Services Transformations, status, user briefings and reports

Qualifications:

TS/SCI Clearance (with a current SSBI favorably adjudicated within the last 5 years)BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical disciplineRelevant EA/SA (Architect), SE&I (INCOSE), IT (ITIL), Security (CISSP), Agile (CSM) certs; SAFe SMERelevant experience with HP Fortify, Mobile, Web, Desktop, and Cyber Security11+ yrs. experience in related field, with 6+ years recent agency (NGA systems, GEOINT) experience5 years’ experience working with Software Security and security testing – Specifically HP Fortify 5 years SE&I experience working with NSG/NGA/GEOINT/GIS or Mission Partner/IC/DoD system/segmentsDemonstrated experience working with National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) security testing methodologies. Working knowledge of cloud implementation concepts (i.e. DevOps, PaaS, API Management, microservices), and commercial cloud technologies and services with emphasis on best practices for use of features available within Amazon Web Services (AWS)Experience working with NGA common services for cloud integration specifically: GEOAxIS , HBSS & Enterprise Audit (ArcSight)Working knowledge of NSG and NGA agile acquisition, baseline control, change management/CM processesExperience with agile project management tools like Redmine and/or JIRA: Experience with SAFe model-based/agile softwareKnowledge and demonstrated experience with security engineering policies and procedures supporting ICD 503 accreditation and NIST 800-53, CNSS 1253 implementation; Assessment & Authorizations Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, client relationship, multi-tasking, load-balancing skillsAbility to interface and effectively communicate both with mission and technical personnel at multiple levelsSelf-starter and able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities with ability to work independently and within a team environmentHighly Desired Qualification Amazon Web Services Certification and experience with the AWS Import/Export Snowball technology Desired

Qualifications:

MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math or related scientific or technical disciplineKnowledge of NGA Strategic Objectives and Portfolio Initiatives (ABI, SOM, OBP, NGC, MoW, OIT, CS)Experience in commercial/defense industry IT Systems and Technologies, including product workflows, information operations and assurance, content architectures, data standards, and industry best practicesTechnical Portfolio/Project/Task Management / Technical Team Leadership / Project Engineering experienceExperience with NGA/IC/DoD integrated intel innovation initiatives/programs/prototypes implementation, mission capability & services pathfinders SE&I, user engagement, embedded engineering, agile implementation process & toolsExperience in system activity and data modeling, information flow/transaction process analysis, internal control and risk analysis, GEOINT business methods and tradecraft, performance measurement techniquesDemonstrated working knowledge of NSG/ASG Enterprise org's, leadership, architectures, programs, systemsAbout PerspectaWhat matters to our nation, is what matters to us.
