Well Control Engineer

The primary role of the Well Control engineer is to provide technical support to field operations. The well control engineer works under general supervision, he/she should be able to function autonomously.

Responsibilities:

* Develop Blowout Contingency Plans, Relief Well Design, and related documents for a variety of customers.

* Travel to customer sites both domestically and internationally to deliver well control support to onshore and offshore locations.

* Perform well control audits.

* Conduct well control training on the job and in a classroom environment.

* Provide engineering support to field operations.

* Assist with manual equipment setup and operation as required.

* Maintains appropriate reports and documentation of well site activities.

* Provides technical support on location to meets customer requirements

Qualifications:

* Excellent communication, technical writing, and public speaking skills.

* Bachelors degree in petroleum or mechanical engineer.

* 3-5 years of oilfield experience preferred.

* Able to think clearly and perform at optimal levels in high pressure situations.

* Have and maintain a valid drivers license

* Have and maintain a valid passport and the ability to travel internationally.

* Must be physically capable of lifting 50 pounds.
