Store Manager - The Woodlands Area

This position is responsible for overall management of the retail store, staff, and customer service. Achieve sales objectives while maintaining high operational and merchandising standards and goals. Build and maintain a highly motivated team. Develop talent pipeline for future growth opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited:

* Leading team and store operations

* Ability to create and maintain a sales culture within the store

* Ability to achieve sales goals

* Interviewing, selecting, and retaining team members

* Training, recognizing, and providing team members with feedback through active performance management

* Overseeing inventory through receiving, stocking, and performing cycle counts on merchandise

* Leading store operations including general store opening and closing duties, running cash register, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor and backroom.

* Ensures all processes, procedures and policies are followed in the store

* Oversees and maintains any in store programs and incentives

* Ensures customer loyalty program is maintained promptly and accurately

* Responsible for ensuring all personnel issues are reported promptly to HR and DM

* Responsible for direct report employee performance reviews

* Participates in weekly conference calls

* Coordinates vendor training's for team members

* Performing basic accounting functions

* Planning and meeting payroll goals

* Maintaining a positive relationship with other stores, SSC, and vendors by being available to answer questions and follow up on suggestions

* Ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, staff, SSC, and vendors

* Providing superior customer service by modeling and leading employees to follow The Perfect Purchase sales guidelines

* Protecting company assets by adhering to SOP guidelines

* Must be able to attend meetings at off site locations

* Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

* High School Diploma required; bachelors degree preferred

* Previous retail sales experience of two (2) years preferred

* Retail management experience preferred

* General knowledge in Microsoft word, excel, and Google Mail

Environment/Physical Demands

* Ability to move freely upstairs, bend, and stoop throughout the store.

* Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

* Exposure to animals on a regular basis.

* Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
