Position Summary:

Lead andcoordinate the daily operations of the CT department. Will need to complete positionresponsibilities by following established guidelines and protocols within theappropriate time frame, and must be flexible with his/her work schedule. Involves discretion and independent actionwithin prescribed limits.

Position Responsibilities:

* Supervisory andleadership skills needed to mentor other technologists.

* Knowledge of proper useand maintenance of CT equipment.

* Knowledge of CTexaminations as well as procedures that require the use of contrast agents.

* Ability to manage patientsduring complex CT procedures exams such biopsies, drainages, etc.

* Able to follow oral andwritten instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, andemployees within the organization.

* Knowledge and practiceof the ALARA (As low as reasonably achievable) standards when performing exams.

* Knowledge of patienttransfer and positioning techniques.

* Ability to handlemultiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.

* Demonstration of ethicaland professional conduct.

Education:

Associate'sDegree Required

Licensure/Certification:

Registeredby the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – ARRT (R) (CT); mustmaintain current

Certifiedby Texas Department of Health as Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist –MRT; must maintain current

CPR/BLScertification

Minimum Experience:

Three(3) years of experience as a Radiographer

Minimum Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities:

Able to work well underpressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects

Able to work effectively withdiverse group of people

Proficiency in officeautomation systems

Good alpha/numeric dexterityand handwriting skills.

Excellent written/oralcommunication skills

Good problem solving skills

Critical thinking skills
