CONTROLLER

Highly visible role working directly with the Executive Vice President & CFO and is responsible for leading all accounting and financial reporting activities. Responsible for directing the internal and external financial reporting functions and all accounting activities, working with the executive management team to ensure the business is operating efficiently.

Job Requirements:

Essential Responsibilities:

-Leads the accounting team and assists with accounting guidance, issues, and complex accounting treatments.

-Manages the monthly financial reporting process and ensures it is performed timely for both internal and external functions for individual and consolidated companies.

-Leads internal financial review meetings with executive management.

-Fully responsible for the monthly and quarterly bank financial reporting package.

-Provides necessary monthly and quarterly financial reporting to the board.

-Works to improve process controls, efficiencies, and procedures with the accounting team.

-Work with accounting team to answer questions, develop skill sets, and continue to grow.

-Works hand in hand with the Finance Manager to ensure all reporting and financial requirements are met including the annual planning process.

-Leads and manages annual audit process with PwC.

-Provides accounting guidance and research for accounting and finance teams as necessary.

-Integrates acquired companies into existing accounting systems and processes.

-Provides support and management of business processes as directed by executive management. -Assists CFO with putting together financial and board presentations.

-Assists with special projects as directed by executive management including CFO.

Qualifications:

5 – 10 years’ experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4 Firm).

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of SAP is preferred, but not required.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in accounting, finance, or business.

Preferred: Masters of Business Administration, Master of Science in Accountancy or equivalent experience.
