Position Summary:

A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a non-professional associate who functions in roles to facilitate both the clinical and office operations. Clinical tasks may include, but not limited to, drug screening, phlebotomy, audiometric exams, pulmonary function testing, breath alcohol testing and assist with physicals and care of injured patients. Clerical tasks may include, but not limited to, making appointments, filing, and a variety of data entry in EPIC. A medical assistant is responsible for performing patient care activities and related non-professional tasks within the scope of training and competence.

Minimum Requirements:

Previous experience in a multi-specialty physician clinic a plus.

Experience with electronic health records preferred.

Basic computer user skills required.

Medical terminology and accurate spelling ability required.

CPR/AED certified for a Health Care Provider required.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Completion of an accredited medical assisting program required.

Washington Department of Health Medical Assistant - Certified or Interim Certificate required upon date of hire.
