Description:Position Summary: Follow procedures and good business practices that will enable your route to grow to potential. Work closely with customer and support all sales initiatives to achieve expectations. Responsible for customer development with regard to ordering, merchandising, and display opportunities. Key Job Responsibilities:Call on assigned accounts and store management to maintain relationships and solve customer issuesMaintain appropriate product levels in the bread aisle and display locations throughout the account, promoting growthResponsible for route operational activity, including ordering and distribution, merchandising, promotional activity, holiday planning, and meeting customer expectationsCommunicate with customers to assist them in understanding the promotional activity, and understand what our customer delivery expectations areEnsure that product distribution is accomplished to customer satisfaction in agreement with any contract terms and requirementsAnalyze account sales data to achieve optimal distribution of product to achieve sales goals and maximize freshness and related expensesAssist customer relations to include selling of new products, and space/position gainsSolicit new business within the route territoryRepresent BBU as a leader in the baking businessOther duties as assigned Position Requirements: Key Behavioral Competencies: Ability to recognize and encourage the behaviors that contribute to teamworkAbility to communicate and work effectively with all associates in a team environmentMust be detail oriented Ability to attend to customers’ needs with courtesy and professionalismAbility to work unsupervised ____________________________________________________________________________ Education and Work History: High School Diploma or Equivalent Ideal candidate will possess: 1-3 years of sales experience, DSD experience is a plus Must be computer literate, Hand-Held Computer (HHC) preferred Must possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record Must follow all DOT regulations and be able to pass a DOT physical and DOT Road Test Must have excellent interpersonal skills Ability to provide a high level of customer service and solve customer issues as they arise Must be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead Must be able to push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
