Engineering Technician II

Engineering Technician II to join our team in the development, deployment, sustainment and repair of our software and hardware systems. The work to be performed will encompass many different disciplines from hands-on component level PCB repair to hardware assembly and test to integrated system level testing.

Required Qualifications:

* 2-4+ years experience Testing, Troubleshooting, Repairing and assembling Radio Frequency equipment.

* 2-4+ years experience with Computer and Networking equipment

* 2-4+ year exp with Assembly of LRU and cable assemblies

* AA Degree in related discipline preferred

* Must be able to read, understand and execute complex test plans and procedures

* Must be able to work independently, analyze test results, and evaluate test data

* Experience using Oscilloscopes, Spectrum and Network Analyzers, Multi-meters and Signal Generators

* Occasional travel will be required to various facilities to assist with ground/flight system testing

* Local candidates only

Basic Qualifications – Preferred

* Large team experience

* Linux OS experience

* High Reliability Soldering

* Experience loading firmware & Software

* IPC Soldering Cert

* IPC

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

* Work directly with the hardware, software and firmware architects to implement, integrate and test.

* Troubleshoots equipment using standard documentation packages including assembly drawings and wiring schematics

* Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot interfaces between hardware and software.

* Determine operational performance requirements of the overall system.

* Develop and implement test procedures and documentation.

* Troubleshoot designs operating within an integrated system.

* Assembly of LRU and cable assemblies

* Troubleshoot and repair complex RF LRUs to the component level

* Troubleshoot and repair computer processors to the board level

* Assemble complex power, control, and radio frequency cables

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs to obtain U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement
