Recreation Specialist - Senior Center (PT)

Position Profile and Job Description:

The purpose of this position is to provide opportunities for recreational activities for Senior citizens. This is accomplished by providing an appropriate atmosphere for fun, educational and safe activities in City facilities. Other duties may include providing various forms of customer service, coordinating activities, providing various forms of administrative service, assisting with special events, youth and adult recreation programs, athletics and interfacing with other City employees and citizens.

* Recreation Coordination

* Customer Service

* Administrative Assistance

Minimum Qualifications

* Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma or equivalency.

* Up to two years of relevant experience.

* Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate Texas Driver's License

* Possession of, or ability to obtain, First Aid certification

* Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR certification

* Must be able to work evenings and weekends
