Project Manager-Product Planning (IOT) - Long Beach, CA

Responsibilities include leading the development, business planning and deployment of new products and services for growth opportunities in the Connected Services or Internet of Things (IOT) market. Generate tangible and sustainable business value and contribute to DENSO's profitability and global business growth strategy in this specialized market. Engage clients to uncover and assess issues and needs. Deliver effective connectivity and IOT solutions to address these issues. Convert clients' needs into documented product and business requirements. Identify and maintain customer needs, analyze competitor's growth, lead a cross-functional effort to define end solutions and engage the customer across the entire value creation process. Evaluate and formulate responses to RFx's. Lead and work closely with local engineering and quality team, as well with DENSO Japan Aftermarket. Identify and develop new business opportunities and position existing and future products for new markets.

* Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; and 5 years of professional experience in the IT and service fields with strong exposure to both technical and business organizations; previous experience in is Automotive and Software Engineer preferred.

* Experience with gather, analyze, interpret, clarify and prepare data to support rationale for business decision (considering viability of revenue and cost proposal) to obtain necessary review by key management.

* Experience with assigning service initiatives to include interactions with partners, vendors and other service providers and device methods for assuring timely delivery of commitments.

* Develop and organize presentation and support materials required to obtain management approvals for products and services launch.

* Execute long and short term strategic and operational goals that advance current business relationships and business.

* Possess an in-depth understanding of IOT, familiar with IOT systems development languages such as Python, HTML, XML, and application protocols such as HTTP.

* Should have past experience working in a software services technical role in a sales organization with prior experience as an architect or systems or software engineer.

* Knowledge of BPCS, XA, JDE, AS400 and Windows OS IBM Notes and Microsoft applications; MS Project, Visio, are a plus.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Power Point) and internet search engines.

* This position may require up to 15% travel.

* Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
